The 12 seasonal color palettes.

The 12-season system gives color analysis more nuance than the classic four seasons. Each guide below explains the season's temperature, depth, chroma, best colors, colors to use carefully, makeup, hair, and wardrobe neutrals.

How to compare color seasons

Compare seasons by dominant trait first. Light seasons need delicacy, dark seasons need depth, soft seasons need muted color, bright seasons need clarity, true warm seasons need golden warmth, and true cool seasons need blue-based coolness.

Adjacent seasons can overlap. A Soft Autumn and Soft Summer may share muted colors, but temperature changes the best neutrals and makeup. A Dark Autumn and Dark Winter may share depth, but their warm and cool anchors differ.
